What is the weekly rental rate?

Our all inclusive rate is $9,000 per week, with a discount for multiple week stays.

Is there Wi-fi and phone service?

Yes, there is Wi-Fi and phone service.

When is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is at 3 P.M. and check out is at 10 A.M.

What is the cancellation policy?

In the event that you must cancel your reservation, we will make every effort to re-rent the property. Since we cannot guarantee re-rental, you must assume the risk that no other rental will occur.

If you cancel 60 days prior to your arrival and we are able to find a replacement tenant for the same time period, we will refund half of your deposit.  If we are unable to re-rent the property for the time which had been covered by your lease, your advance deposit will be forfeited.  If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival, the full rental fee will be forfeited.

What is the weather like?

There’s a saying in Maine that goes: “if you don’t like the weather, wait a moment.” In the summer, warm breezes from the north, at the head of the harbor, influence the weather. Duckdown offers amazing sun rises with oranges and pinks like you have never seen before.

Fog will find its way into the harbor from time to time, and sometimes you may find yourself “fog-bound” - the perfect time to read, relax, and look  inward.

What kind of clothing supplies should I be sure to pack?

Basic gear to consider: sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, hiking boots, raincoats, hat, flip flops, personal toiletries, and cell phone chargers.

Is there heating and air conditioning?

Yes to heating: in-floor propane in the main house and a Rennai and electric units in the beach house. Air conditioning is not necessary due to the breezes from the water.

Where can we rent water toys and sports equipment?

There are plenty of beach and water toys available for your use in the Beach Toy House on the beach, and lots of sources for rentals.
