The author, Anthony Doerr, wrote “Cloud, Cuckoo, Land “ amongst several other wonderful works of fiction. Now whenever we look out of the harbor, we see Indian Island Light, seemingly floating on top of the waters of Penobscot Bay. The island is now owned by the son of the wild and crazy American architect, Lou Kahn. Anthony Doerr’s book is about the timeless value of literature, Ancient Greek, and libraries - all of which are significant to us. Duckdown offers a wonderful view of Indian Island Light.
